I almost gave up all hope but I couldn't access my blog since my last message. Tried all possible without success. Lucky nothing was changing on my blog so think it wasn't hacked. But still don't know what the problem was. Today just wanted to give it a last try and YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS my account is working again. Hope it will stay working after my log out. Hope you all had a very good summerholiday. I had for sure. As usual it was much to short. Had two very nice weeks in Germany (Berchtesgaden).
Love the mountains, lakes and woods. Before the weekend I will tell you who will be the winner of the Give Away that I organized already more than two months ago. Sorry that Blogspot kept you waiting so long!

Love,

How to make the syrop

Before you all will ask me for the recipe of the elderberryblossom syrop here it is :-)

I took 80 gr of blossom. This is after removing the large branches. Try to use only the very thin branches were the flowers are on. Put the blossom in a large bowl and add 1 sliced lemon (without the peel because of the chemicals or use biological ones). I also have put in one lime. Than at 1 litre of preboiled water that is cooled down to lukewarm. Leave this mixture for two days.

After two days filter the mixture through a towel. Let it boil and add one kilogram of sugar. Leave it boiling for few minutes untill all sugar is solved. Then pour it into bottles. You can also add some vanillesugar to it or half  a vanillestick or cinnamonstick while it is boiling.

I'm not sure how the taste will be cause this is my first try.

Elderberryblossom syrop

Today I picked the flowers of the elderberrytree that grows in our back garden make my first attempt to make syrop of it. For sure I like the way how it looks in the bottles.
I added some slices lemon to it. When I see the pics I get the feeling of summer. Alldo the summer weather seems to be far away. Can't wait to make the real syrop of it. I have to wait two days and then will boill the water with sugar. Maybe add some vanille to it. Even saw a recepie with cinnamon. Hope my girls will not be to scared to taste the sirop.

I fell in love with............

About 3 weeks ago I saw a cute pictures on internet and fell in love with this lovely maine coon kitten.

Since 2 weeks she is living with us. She is now 11 weeks old. We choose the name Dunya for her. It's a combination of the names of our other two cats. Our oldest cat the girl gave then nickname Dunnie (in english maining skinny) and our other cat is called Yara. So when you combine it you get Dunya. Yara and Dunya became close friends and sleep and play all the time together. When they sleep together Dunya finds it so cosy that even tries to search for milk. Here you can see them sleep together.

Picture of cabinet

I kept you waiting a long time but here is finally a picture of my new cabinet. In meanwhile I took all the paint off from the upper part. So almost ready to start painting.

New cabinet :-)

While searching on internet on the secondhand site I found this very nice old German cabinet. I immediatly felt in love with it and had to get it. My husband told me that it would have no use to make a offer on it cause he thought they would ask a very high price for it. But I couldn't resist to make a low offer and to our big suprise the same evening got a e-mail that just for € 25,- more it could be mine.
So last Monday I drove 115km to have a look at the cabinet. They said the cabinet was painted  very well but when I took a look the painting was very bad. I could see many drops in it, many hears, and little bobbles created by bad painting tools. But because the cabinet already stole my heart I took it home. I hoped that giving the cabinet a good scrup with sandpaper I would have a good base for a second paint layer. But even that wasn't possible. So yesterday I started to get the paint off with blowlamps. So far it is going very well. They even didn't use a primer. Just one layer of paint.
Here is the picture that they used on internet. Tomorrow show you a picture of how it looks now.
(I tryed to get the picture here but I copiet the pic from internet to Word and now can't place it here
:-(     ... so you will have to wait untill tomorrow)

Vintage creation

This time I made two vintage creations in white. One ofcourse inspired by Tilda. Both creations made off old cotton and very old Frence lace. For the heart I also used some glass beads.
I think will hang them on my new cabinet. See my next message.

My latest creation

My latest creation is not a Tilda one. I made a weddingcake topper for a lady who has a company were you can rent doves for a wedding or funeral. I'm very proud of the birds that I designed myself and now finally can show you. Because I made the topper exclusive for a company I can't show you pictures here but you can take a look at the url. Just scroll down untill you see the weddingcake. The cake was not made by me just the topper. So curious what you think about it.
If you want to have a weddingcake topper like that for yourself please contact me for further information. Every topper will be exclusive and no topper will be the same. I will not use the same lace again for a topper. All creations will be made with your own wishes for color etc.

Our lovely kitten Yara

I already told you that we had chosen a kitten in October and now she is living with us since the beginning of November :-)
She is so sweet but also behaving like a little toddler exploring everything and run like crazy through the house. She became friends with our other cat Sissel and they play together as long as Yara keeps the playing a little calm. So happy we took Yara into our home and into our hearts.

Swap with Muriel

I already showed you what beautiful swapparcel Muriel send me a few months ago but I didn't show you yet what I have send her. I send her this stitched painting, a angel and a tissueholder and some other goodies that I didn't put on picture.

Tilda paintings

When visiting Kikidoe in October my friend Margriet and I were inspired to make a kind of scraping paintings with Tilda paper. But after buying the lovely Tilda paper I got the idea to scan them and print them out on cotton. So I only used fabric for this paintings. I also made a little Tilda stitching on it. You can't see it on the pics but also used some sparkling glue to give some little accents on the roses and birds.

And like this is looks all together

Skate

This skate is also a Tilda design. I used lace and pearls and the blade I first painted white and then used sparkling silver glue on it. I also filled up the skate instead of leaving it flat.

My favourite angel!

Since I was introduced to Tilda I already fell in love with this Tilda winter angel and ordered the Tilda felt but didn't find the time to make her. But last September I finally started making her and I'm so proud of the result. On the bottom of the jacket and sleeves I used little pink sequins and embroidered a french knot on it with red wire. The buttons on the jacket are made of little pink pearls. Isn't she lovely!! She got the company of two reindeer which I already made for the Xmas of 2010.

Feeling not so fine

Hi to all of you. It's already been a long while since my last message but I have some health problems. Not long after my last message on my blog I started to have headaches every day and 1 or two days a week it's so bad that I have to stay in bed. I already got a ct-scan and mri scan and many bloodtests. Also got a lumbar puncture two weeks ago. Wow that was so painfull and after that got extra headache when sitting or standing so for that had to stay laying down for almost one week. At the moment waiting for the results of the puncture and the bloodtest. But good news is that I don't have a braintumor or other deviations in my head. Hope they will give me some new medication this week cause at moment it still isn't getting better and I'm so tired of it. Emotional I'm tired but also fysical. So know you know why I haven't been posting messages for a while. Also my creativity is not so big at the moment so last weeks didn't make anything. But there are a few things that I made before and didn't show you yet. I will show you them in my next messages.
